How to work out binder pages
Binder pages are double-sided, so every page gives you two sides of pockets. To find the pages you need, divide your card count by the pockets per side, then halve it and round up.
9-pocket: cards ÷ 18 = pages. 1,000 cards need 56 pages. 4-pocket: cards ÷ 8 = pages. 200 cards need 25 pages.
Leave a little room to grow: sets get new expansions, and a binder that's packed too tight bends the spine and the cards. Not sure which size suits you? Compare our binders or plan each page in the page planner.
Binder calculator FAQ
How many cards fit on a binder page?
A 9-pocket page holds 9 cards on each side, so 18 cards per double-sided page. A 4-pocket page holds 4 a side, so 8 per page. Slip two unsleeved cards back-to-back in each pocket and you can double that.
How many pages do I need for 360 cards?
On 9-pocket pages, 360 cards fill 40 sides, which is 20 double-sided pages. On 4-pocket pages you'd need 90 sides, or 45 double-sided pages.
How do I work out how many binder pages I need?
Divide your number of cards by the pockets per page to get the number of sides, then divide by two for double-sided pages, rounding up each time. For example, 500 cards ÷ 9 = 56 sides, which is 28 pages.
How many cards does each Binder Beast binder hold?
With one card per pocket, the Sleek 9-Pocket Binder holds 360 cards, the Dragon 9-Pocket Binder holds 900 cards, the Dragon 4-Pocket Binder holds 400 cards. Every binder takes standard-size cards, sleeved or unsleeved.
Should I put cards back-to-back?
Back-to-back doubles how many cards a binder holds, and works well for bulk and duplicates. For valuable cards, keep one sleeved card per pocket so nothing rubs and the back of each card stays protected.
